The Cake Man 2012

Presented by Sydney Festival and Carriageworks in association with the ABC, the 181 Regent St, Symposium looks back over four decades and reaches forward to the next generation of theatre makers, recapturing the exuberance, poetry, activism, humour and above all, the political power of the National Black Theatre, a momentous voice for Australian theatre in the 21st century.

As part of the Symposium and in honour of the pioneering work of the National Black Theatre, Moogahlin Performing Arts, NSW leading First Peoples performing arts company presents a reading of iconic Aboriginal play, The Cake Man by Robert J. Merritt.
