WOMEN’S BUSINESS LANGUAGE NGURRA

an inter-tribal gathering of local women from the Brewarrina shire REGION

Spearheaded by Moogahlin Performing Arts’ Regional Team, the Women’s Business Language Ngurra (Camps) has been an inter-tribal gathering of local women from the Brewarrina Shire Region.

Collective knowledges were brought together and shared over three separate camps for women and girls of the Murrawarri, Ngemba, and Yuwaalaraay, increasing cultural awareness and continuity through performance in the form of dance and song. Participants were invited to perform at the Opening Ceremony Corroboree for Baiame’s Ngunnhu Festival on Friday, 8 April 2022 at Weir Park, Brewarrina.

Registrations for the Ngemba Camp were open to participants living on-country.
